Day 192::November 15, 2010

I called to accept the job today!  We feel very blessed.  We are also considering new paint colors for the outside of our house!

Day 191::November 14, 2010

At church today we raised the rest of the money we needed to fulfill our Operation Christmas Child commitment.  The youth group needed to contribute 200 notebooks and 200 boxes of crayons.  There have been many trips to the Dollar Tree.  After church this evening, Doug and I went out to eat to celebrate my new job!  I got the job at the credit union and will call to accept the position tomorrow morning.  The Lord is good!

Day 190::November 13, 2010

Started organizing our laundry room this afternoon!  I've got a lot more to do, but the biggest change was taking out the shelves.  Doug did this while I went through everything that was on the shelves!

Day 189::November 12, 2010

Here is the "after" picture of our yard!  There is still a lot of work to do so I'll keep you up to date with pictures!

Day 188::November 11, 2010

Did some major yard work today!  We pulled up every plant in the front yard.  Here is the before picture!

Day 187::November 10, 2010

I love hearing Douglas preach on Wednesdays!  For the last several weeks, we've been in the book of Philippians.  We could easily spend months in the book of Philippians!

There was also a gorgeous sunset!!!

Day 185::November 8, 2010

Got my two papers for today!  Couponing has become such a fun hobby.  I love seeing what kind of deals I can get each week.  This is a picture of how I organize my coupon folder.  Gotta love it!

Day 184::November 7, 2010

What did you and Doug have for dinner tonight?  I'm glad you asked!  We had homemade spaghetti sauce and (homemade) meatballs for dinner!

Day 183::November 6, 2010

Made spaghetti sauce today!  I'll let the pictures do the talking!  A few of the steps went undocumented, but you'll get the idea.

Day 181::November 4, 2010

My interview went so well!  I think it went great, so we'll see what happens.  We also had some students over for book study.  We're going through the book "How to Study the Bible for All It's Worth."  It's actually a really good read.  I remember it being a book that Garland recommended when I was with WinShape.

Day 180::November 3, 2010

For the next few post, I plan on them being rather short.  How come I always wait so long to update these?  Anyway, today was a Publix shopping trip and church!  I also found out that I have a job interview tomorrow!

Day 182::November 5, 2010

Tonight we went to Secret Church!  It started at 6:00 PM and ended around 12:45 AM.  The topic this time was "The Body of Christ."  David Platt did an excellent job teaching.

Day 179::November 2, 2010

Made enough meatballs today for the next seven times we have spaghetti.  Booya!  Want the recipe?  Here you go- Easy Basic Meatball Recipe.

Day 178::November 1, 2010

November 1st?  Really?  Crazy!  Well, it's been a long time coming, but Doug and I finally put our bathroom shelf up on the wall.  I felt like we were playing a scene right out of a movie.  Newlyweds, trying to put their house together, laughing as we went along.  As sweet as that may be, trust me, I was glad to see this shelf get put in it's place.  It's been floating around our house for months, just waiting for it's final home above the toilet.  Welcome home shelf.  Welcome home.

Day 177::October 31, 2010

Happy Halloween!  I have to be honest, it doesn't really feel like Halloween.  In fact, it doesn't seem like it's this close to the end of the year either!  This year has literally flown by- leaving my job in Rome, getting married, moving to Alabama, buying our house, just getting settled and figuring out this whole marriage thing.  It's been a crazy few months.

Today after church I took some of my lovely girls to Olive Garden for lunch.  After lunch we headed to the Dollar Tree to do some shopping for Operation Christmas Child.  Shopping with them was a lot of fun... as you can see.  :)

Day 176::October 30, 2010

Today our church had their fall festival!  Here are a few highlights from the morning.  Our city also decided that today would be the official trick-or-treat night since Halloween falls on a Sunday.  Doug and I got 12 trick-or-treaters, and that's 12 more than last year!  We even had a visit from some of the kids at the church.  Love them!
